On Friday, November, 26, unique photo exhibition devoted to wide opportunities of people with disabilities has started in Dnipro central library. The event is being realized as a part of the project by Swedish Institute and Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine called « To live in spite of fate».
The exhibition is aimed to demonstrate wide opportunities of people with disabilities and their possibility to take full life.
«It’s a story of 14 Swedes and 4 Ukrainians who have broken plate inadequacy of people with disabilities. Here we can see people who won their fate. If man is in wheelchair it doesn’t mean that he is disabled in moving. If he is blind it doesn’t mean that he is disabled in hearing life. If he is deaf it doesn’t mean that he is disabled to see his role», - Tatiana Nekrasova, an employee of press and information sector by the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine, says.
Also master-class in sign language was organized as a part of the project.
«It is necessary for people without hearing disorder to communicate with hard of hearing people. It is necessary for them not to lose courage and to be able finding ways of communication. Sign language is hard it is like any foreign language with its rules and demands. Generally it is possible to learn the basic in few months», - said teacher and interpreter Ihor Bondarenko.
The exhibition is staying in Dnipro until December,11.
